De Bortoli has announced the latest addition to their Deen Vat Series, launched nationally in April of last year, the Deen Vat 7 Chardonnay 2014.

The Deen Vat 7 Chardonnay 2014 is a combination of the finest fruits from the Riverina, New South Wales and the King Valley, Victoria and features elegant, lively and charismatic aromas of white peach, cashew and subtle vanilla oak, building on the brand’s reputation for exceptional quality and value.

De Bortoli Wines Senior White Winemaker John Coughlan said: “The majority of the fruit comes from De Bortoli’s Bilbul Estate in the Riverina, from vines planted in 1993, and our King Valley vineyard, which was planted in the early 2000’s. The remainder of the fruit is sourced from two local blocks planted as far back as 1978.

“Through our discerning selection of fruit from mature vines and minimal interference approach to winemaking, we have successfully united the distinct characters from each region to create an elegant wine that is delicately restrained in flavour and richly textural.”

The Deen Vat Series were created as a tribute to the brand’s creator, Deen De Bortoli, a pioneer of the Australian wine industry who aimed to create high quality wines at an affordable price.

Previous vintages have similarly enchanted audiences. The 2012 vintage won a gold medal at the Melbourne Wine Show and the highly respected UK wine commentator, Jancis Robinson, favourably reviewed the 2011 vintage in her ‘Wines of the week’ article on 7 March 2014.

The Deen Vat 7 Chardonnay 2014 is vegan friendly and has a RRP of $12.90 AUD.
