De Bortoli Wines is celebrating a year of accolades as 2021 closes out.

Pioneers of sweet wine production in Australia since 1982, the winemakers at De Bortoli continually strive to set the benchmark for Botrytis wines, winning the Sweet White Trophy at four capital city shows this year: the Melbourne Royal Wine Awards, Perth Wine Show, Royal Adelaide Wine Show and Sydney Royal Wine Show

De Bortoli also won trophies for its Sparkling wines, named Best Prosecco at the Australian Sparkling Awards for its King Valley Prosecco and for its Woodfired Sparkling Shiraz at the Sydney Royal Wine Show.

De Bortoli’s Rosé was named Best Rosé at the Victorian Wine Show, testament to the rapid growth of this award winning wine from King Valley.

A wide variety of wines from the warmer climate regions of Rutherglen and Heathcote have also received awards this year. Together, De Bortoli’s 2019 Woodfired Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon received three trophies and four gold medals.

The Woodfired Shiraz won a gold medal and two trophies for Best Dry Red 2020 and 2019 Vintages at the Rutherglen Wine Show as well as the Morton Trophy, Best Shiraz at the Cowra Wine Show.

Premium wine, Petit Moscato was awarded a gold medal at The Drinks Business Global Rosé Masters.

The 2021 Rutherglen Estate White was awarded a trophy for Best Other White blend at the Victorian Wine Show.

De Bortoli promise that all their winemakers will be celebrating together this festive season before doing it all again in 2022.
