The 2015 vintage marks the 15th release in the Coopers Extra Strong Vintage Ale series.

At 7.5% ABV, the limited-edition sits alongside previous series releases as the strongest beer brewed by Coopers, and as one of the strongest beers available worldwide.

“The Philosophy behind the 2015 Extra Strong Ale, as with previous vintages, was to ensure it was brewed with rich and intense flavours,” said Coopers Managing Director and Chief Brewer Dr. Tim Cooper.

“This year’s Vintage has a noticeable increase in bitterness, which fused and enriched the other hop flavours to leave a smooth and lingering after-taste.

“The higher bitterness also assists in the longevity of the brew,” Cooper continues.

Coopers National Sales and Marketing Director Mr. Cam Pearce hopes to remind consumers that this year’s production of Vintage Ale is very limited.

“Limited production of this year’s Vintage will see stocks go quickly,” Mr Pearce said. “As always, we encourage beer lovers to plan their purchase of the 2015 Vintage Ale and secure a carton to enjoy over the winter months.”

Coopers Extra Strong Vintage Ale was first released in 1998, with further vintages in 1999, 2000, 2002, 2004, and every year since 2006.

The Ale can be consumed immediately, or stored in cool conditions for tastings after six to 12 months of maturation.

RRP: $85 per carton and $28 per six-pack of 255ml bottles
