Consumers Rate 1st Choice as Most Satisfactory Liquor Store

Consumers have named First Choice Liquor – Liquor Store of the Month in Roy Morgan’s latest Customer Satisfaction Awards. The Coles owned banner placed higher than Dan Murphy’s, The Bottle-O, IGA Liquor and BWS in terms of customer satisfaction, receiving an overall 92 per cent score – up from 88 per cent in January.

According to the global market research company, consumers were most satisfied with 1st Choice stores based in NSW/ACT (96 per cent), Victoria (95 per cent) and Queensland (93 per cent), while scores were lower in states such as WA and SA (below 80 per cent).

Data received from the sample also found that 1st Choice customers located outside of the city were slightly more satisfied with the liquor retailer (95 per cent) than those based in the city (91 per cent). Satisfaction between male and female 1st Choice customers was also slightly divided – 92 per cent male and 93 per cent female.

The awards are based on a poll of 50,000 Australian consumers annually – the world’s largest ongoing single source survey. Customers are asked to rate their level of satisfaction of the businesses and products that take part in the awards, with the winners selected representing those who received the most votes for ‘fairly satisfied’ or ‘very satisfied’.
