Partner of high luxury brands including Formula 1® and Bugatti, Champagne Carbon has launched an exclusive distribution partnership with Emperor Champagne.

Under the brand Champagne Devavry, fifth generation Alexandre Mea was set to take the reins of the family house, but decided otherwise. Breaking from tradition, he founded his own Champagne house.

After four years of experimentation with raw materials and grapes, Alexandre and his Carbon team believe they found the perfect balance of flowers, spices and brioche needed to craft the cuvées. Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes are fermented in small oak barrels, adding complexity and elegance to the range.

Striving to promote the French craftsmanship by producing high-quality artisanal Champagne, Champagne Carbon sets itself apart from the traditional codes with a new innovative packaging of the bottles. Made with a carbon fibre wrap, they are the signature of this atypical house.

Alexandre Mea, CEO of Carbon says: “It’s an exciting time for Carbon Champagne as we enter into the Australian market and showcase and share our elegant range with current connoisseurs and new tasters. The Emperor Agency has a platform that can reach an array of audiences while keeping true to what Carbon Champagnes aims to achieve and without compromising the excellence of our offering.”

In 2013, the house released their first bottles and their success was immediate. Since 2017, Champagne Carbon has been the official Champagne partner of Formula 1, with stars such as Lewis Hamilton popping Carbon bottles on podiums around the world.

In 2018, the house became the official partner of prestigious automotive brand, Bugatti and launched a unique cuvée, celebrating the 110th anniversary of Bugatti’s founder, Ettore Bugatti.

To target the ever growing demographic of Australian Champagne drinkers, Carbon Champagne is launching into the market via Emperor Champagne, connecting Champagne lovers of Australia with the intricate wines from France, while providing education on the complex nature of the production of Champagne and the broad varieties of what the region has to offer.

Kyla Kirkpatrick, Founder of Emperor Champagne says: “What I love most about Champagne is the constant innovation that winemakers look to execute, and with Carbon Champagne, they are introducing a new chapter of Champagne making that provides a new and interesting tasting experience. With more Australians becoming interested in the genre, houses such as Carbon Champagne reach a new audience with its luxurious details and distinctive personality.”

The five cuvées available on the Emperor website are:

  • Champagne Carbon Brut
  • Champagne Carbon Rosé
  • Champagne Carbon Blanc de Blancs
  • Champagne Carbon Brut Magnum
  • Champagne Carbon Bugatti 2002 Vintage
  • Champagne Carbon Bugatti 2006 Vintage
