The Bayfield Hotels Group, owned by Northern Beaches’ Bayfield family, has bought The Light Brigade Hotel in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs.

The purchase also includes the restaurant above the hotel, La Scala on Jersey, which sees the family bring on Executive Chef, Marco Adler to help reinvigorate the venue’s food offering.

“We are thrilled to now be a part of Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs’ rapidly growing food and pub mecca”, Bayfield Hotels Group General Manager, Kaine Bayfield said. “Although this venture into Sydney’s Eastern suburbs is a first for us, it seems like the right move, as my great grandfather was a publican within the area and my grandmother Pam actually grew up in Woollahra. This only cemented the idea to explore the concept of investing into the wider Sydney area.”

Located on the corner of Oxford Street and Jersey Road, The Light Brigade Hotel has long been a hot spot for sporting crowds during football season – close to Allianz Stadium, Randwick Racecourse and Centennial Park.

The venue will now join the group’s growing portfolio, including Dee Why Hotel, Bayfields Liquor Superstore at Dee Why and Bayfields Online.
