Iconic Beverages has announced the Australian release of the highly acclaimed Balcones Distilling Texas Whisky portfolio.
Founded in 2008, Balcones Distilling released Baby Blue, a straight corn whisky in 2009 – the first whisky produced in Texas since Prohibition.
Balcones is also a US market leader in American Single Malts, with its flagship whisky “Texas Single Malt – Classic Edition” receiving more than 175 Gold medals in the last few years.
Iconic Beverages Managing Director Dean Terranova said: “We are very proud to announce the launch of Balcones in Australia. Our businesses share the same values when it comes to quality and authenticity, and our team have been inundated with enquiries following our Texas Independence Day launch events last week.”
Iconic soft launched the brand in December, seeding it into major wholesalers ahead of the Christmas trade.
The company said retailers quickly picked up the brand and benefited from its price repositioning.
The core range of whisky for Balcones in Australia consists of: Baby Blue Corn Whisky, Texas Rye 100 Proof Whisky, Brimstone Smoked Whisky, “1” Texas Single Malt – Classic Edition and as of April 2020, a single barrel expression of the highly awarded single malt.
