Australian Cocktail Month launched at Hinchcliff House in Sydney on Wednesday evening, a national celebration of cocktails which runs from 1 – 31 May with the intention of bringing people back to venues to commune and enjoy delicious drinks.

Showcasing some of the brands supporting Australian Cocktail Month, guests were treated to delicious cocktails created by Alissa Gabriel and the team at Hinchcliff House using Bombay Bramble, Brix, Buffalo Trace, Chase, Crawley’s, Diplomatico, Feels, Lyre’s, Never Never, Patrón, Plantation and Regal Rogue.

Australian Cocktail Month has been created and curated by Penny Sippe. She said, “Australian Cocktail Month was developed to support the cocktail and broader hospitality industry.  It has been a fulfilling process to develop and deliver this project for the industry – now it is over to the public to gather their friends, grab a ticket and get out there and experience what our bartenders can deliver.”

Partnering with venues in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide, some of the best local and international alcohol brands have come on board to champion the country’s bar industry. Consumers will unlock unique bar experiences, escape the day to day and enjoy delicious cocktails with the Australian Cocktail Month ticket.  The $20 ticket, which is available online HERE, allows guests access to a special menu of cocktails created exclusively for the month. The menu will be available at participating venues, with cocktails priced at $14, and non-alcoholic options at $10.

The Australian Cocktail Month concept has been enthusiastically received by bartenders and bars across the country. “Australian Cocktail Month celebrates the best in Australia in every sense of the word, wonderful locally produced spirits supporting our local distilleries, beautiful hospitality from our leading bars creating delicious bespoke cocktails. Australian Cocktail Month… yes please!” said Marcus Motteram of Hains & Co in Adelaide.

Seventy-two bars across the four cities have been hand-picked to take part in this exciting inaugural event. Burrow Bar, Double Deuce Lounge, The Barbershop and Big Poppas are some of the bars participating in Sydney. Included in the 18 Melbourne venues are Heartbreaker, Union Electric, Ends & Means, Poodle and 1806, while Bar Torino, Bank Street Social, Hains & Co and La Moka amongst others will be welcoming guests in Adelaide. Brisbane bars offering the Australian Cocktail Month menu will include Byblos, Alba Bar & Deli, Super Whatnot and Leonards.

A ticket to Australian Cocktail Month can be used at any participating venue throughout May, and is available for purchase now HERE.
