Accolade Wines is the 2022 Supplier of the Year. The company received the award at the Australian Drinks Awards held in Sydney last night. It is the first time the business has won the top award in the ceremony’s ten year history.

Accolade also drew first for the Supply Chain Management Award alongside Australian Vintage Limited.

Accolade’s Regional Managing Director, ANZ, Andrew Clarke, said: “This has been great recognition of the hard work from everyone at Accolade over the past the two and a half years. And all of that said, today is not taken for granted. There is still a lot to do.”

Accolade’s win follows the business winning the Most Improved Supplier of the Year Award last year and being named Endeavour Group’s Large Supplier of the Year in May.

The Supplier Awards are determined by the Drinks Association partner, Advantage Australia’s Engagement Program.

Advantage Australia’s Client Director, David McLoughlin said, “Another outstanding result for Accolade, this year converting their Most Improved award into the overall Supplier of the Year, not to mention also sharing the number one position in Supply Chain.

“Retailers have seen their customer-centric approach take off over the last few years, describing them as a partner who employs proactivity, collaboration and reliability in their approach to doing business.”

In all, four Supplier Awards were presented last night:

  • Supplier of the Year                             Accolade Wines
  • Most Improved Supplier of the Year    Brown Family Wine Group
  • Category Management Award             Carlton & United Breweries
  • Supply Chain Management                  Accolade Wines & Australian Vintage Limited

Shelly Horton was MC at the live awards presentation attended by 370 guests at the IVY Ballroom in Sydney. Forty-three awards were distributed throughout the night. In addition to the Supplier category, the 2022 Brand Awards were announced as well as three Contribution to Industry awards.

Taylors Wines received the award for Corporate Social Responsibility while The Most Improved Gender Equity Award went to Bacardi and Treasury Wine Estates won the award for most Inclusive and Diverse Workplace for the second year in a row.

For the Brand Awards, the top 200 drink brands in the country are automatically entered into the category of either Fan Favourite or Gaining in Popularity. Thrive Research is then enlisted to conduct the research with 4,000 consumers to determine the winners. They are:
