Leadership changes at Campari Australia & NZ

Campari Australia and New Zealand has announced its current Marketing Director, Nicole Stanners, is leaving the business.

The company said: “We are truly grateful to Nicole for her eight years of dedicated service with Campari. Nicole has played a key role in establishing brand priorities and marketing principles for the business, which has helped re-establish Wild Turkey as a bourbon to be reckoned with, Campari as a key part of cocktail culture and Aperol as one of Australia’s most loved brands.”

Jenny Carey has been appointed to the role of Strategy and Insights Director reporting to Simon Durrant, Managing Director Campari Australia and New Zealand. 

Carey has four years tenure with Campari Australia, previously reporting into Marketing. The company noted she “brings a wealth of experience to the leadership team, having held senior insights and innovation roles with CUB and Arnott’s”. 

Paolo Marinoni also joins the Australian leadership team as Marketing Director, Campari Australia and New Zealand, having previously held the role of Group Marketing Manager White Spirits Campari. Marinoni has been with Campari Australia for more eight years and has held senior marketing roles with Diageo, Coca-Cola Amatil and Carlsberg Group. 

The leadership appointments take effect immediately and the roles will continue to be located in Sydney.   

Stanners will spend the next two months helping the team transition to meet its new objectives and will leave the business at the end of September.  

Campari concluded: “Australia and Campari New Zealand have enjoyed a long period of sustained growth and development and have today announced changes to their Australian leadership team to drive the next phase of success. 

“These changes position the organisation to drive its overall business strategy, through greater focus on channel, category, innovation and digital strategies to deliver for customers and consumers now and into the future.”
