Treasury Wine Estate’s 19 Crimes Blanc de Blancs has seen significant growth, up 77 per cent these past twelve months, and is the #1 brand contributing to growth within the wine category.*

Blanc de Blancs literally translates to ‘white of whites’ and in Australia, is an $8.2 million category. This past year, the Blanc de Blancs $10-$15 price category has grown by 38 per cent.

For those new to the world of sparkling wines: Champagne is solely from the Champagne region in France.  Traditional Australian sparkling wine is typically made from red Pinot Noir grapes blended with white Chardonnay grapes. And Blanc de Blancs is made exclusively from white, Chardonnay grapes which give it an amazing crispness in flavour and texture.

With a taste a little like Prosecco – crisp and zesty, though less sweet and more dry- Blanc de Blancs makes for a perfect summer drink. It is refreshing, affordable and easy to drink any day.

19 Crimes Blanc de Blancs is made in Australia from Australian grapes sourced from Treasury Wine Estate’s 19 Crimes Hard Chard vineyards in South Eastern Australia. The grapes are snatched from the vines early to lock in their fresh crispness.

A new and most intriguing addition to the category, 19 Crimes Blanc de Blancs stands apart from traditional sparkling wine brands with its matte black bottle and talking labels that bring convict stories to life.

Each 19 Crimes label tells the story of the real convicts from Australia’s past. In history, they share a bond – receiving “punishment by transportation” for violation of one of 19 crimes and becoming the first settlers of a nation.

Available now at BWS, Dan Murphy’s and selected independent retailers, 19 Crimes retails at RRP$16.
