eBev celebrates WISA IMPACT Awards nominations
Online B2B beverage trading platform eBev has been nominated as a finalist in two categories in the Wine Industry Supplier Australia (WISA) Wine Industry IMPACT Awards.
The finalist nominations come in the categories of MGA Insurance Brokers Distribution and Logistics and the Casella Family Brands Start-up award.
The WISA Wine Industry IMPACT Awards are in their third year and are focused on “Celebrating the impact of value chain partnerships on the capability and competitiveness for Australian Wine Producers.” They aim to recognise innovation and leadership in the given field, and benefiting the relationship between grape producers and their distribution networks.
The eight categories celebrating excellence include Grape Growing, Winemaking, Packaging, Engineering, Distribution and Logistics, Marketing and Communications, Tourism and Start-ups. Finalists are selected by a diverse group of Wine Industry and Supply chain experts.
eBev’s General Manager Cassandra MacDonald said: “ I am thrilled that we have received these nominations. The rollercoaster path of a start-up must be supported by excellent people to maintain its trajectory. Our partnerships and people are the most important facet of our business, so I would say that we sincerely understand and align with the culture that WISA represent. Our mission remains to improve and cultivate an inclusive wine community ”
eBev has built a search and ordering tool that allows licensed venues such as restaurants, hotels, bars and independent retailers to source and order all their beverage supplies from one platform. Traditionally, weekly beverage ordering is a fragmented, inefficient and time consuming process for venues – and almost equally so for vendors of wholesale beverages.
With a current database of over 29,000 wines – the largest in Australia – eBev is providing a one-stop, centralised and mobile responsive platform for Australia’s 38,000 licensed venues to source, purchase and manage their stock. With over 176,000 cases ordered since inception and more than $20 million of transactions.
eBev launched in NSW and is currently live in both NSW and Victoria and will be launching into new markets in the coming year.
